WORTH HALF MILLION PESOS OF SHABU AND CALIBER .38 FIREARM SEIZED, IN A SUCCESSFUL BUY-BUST OPERATION OF PROVINCIAL DRUG ENFORCEMENT TEAM

Camp BGen Pantaleon Garcia, Imus City, Cavite—Operatives of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Cavite Police Provincial Office, arrested a High-Value Individual and seized illegal drugs and firearm during a buy-bust operation conducted in General Trias City at around 10:30 in the morning of February 3, 2026.

PLTCOL CHESTER NOEL R BORLONGAN, Chief of Provincial Intelligence Unit, identified the suspect as alias “John,” a resident of Makati City.

The operation results in the confiscation of three pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected as shabu with an estimated weight of more or less 80 grams and with standard drug price value of Php544,000.00, one piece of five hundred peso bill used as buy-bust money, one unit of revolver without serial number and three pieces live ammunitions of caliber .38.

The buy-bust operation is conducted under PDEA coordination. The physical inventory of seized pieces of evidence is conducted at the place of arrest in the presence of the arrested suspect, a media representative and an elected barangay official.

The entire operation is documented using an Alternative Recording Device. The suspect is properly apprised of his constitutional rights in a dialect known and understood by him.

The suspect is currently under police custody, and inquest proceedings are being conducted.

PCOL ARIEL R RED, Acting Provincial Director of Cavite PPO, underscores the significance of the operation stating, “The Cavite Police remain steadfast in protecting communities from the harmful effects of illegal drugs and loose firearms and reiterated that law enforcement operations will continue relentlessly in coordination with partner agencies and with the help of the community.”
